Mule Town Veterinary Hospital
It is with heartfelt sadness and grief that we share the news of the passing of our beloved owner and veterinarian, Dr. Lori Ann Scappino, DVM. Following a swimming accident and despite the efforts of numerous responders, Lori passed away on Saturday, July 12.
When Dr. Scappino became a veterinarian, she had the vision of a small-town veterinary hospital where she could provide state-of-the-art, personalized veterinary care for her community. Out of this dream, Mule Town Veterinary Hospital was born and is now her legacy.
Dr. Scappino’s family plans to continue her legacy by keeping Mule Town Veterinary Hospital open. Dr. Julianna Frum, DVM, has graciously committed to becoming our primary and supervising veterinarian. Dr. Frum brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion and commitment. We are happy to have her. Some of you may have met her as she worked with us on occasion as a relief vet. She will begin seeing patients next week.
We ask that you bear with us over the next weeks as we maneuver this new course. Dr. Frum has some previous commitments she will complete before coming on board full time. In the meantime, we hope to have relief veterinary coverage on the days she cannot work with us. We will continue to call clients with appointment reminders. We will also reach out in the next few days if we need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We plan to be open regular hours, and we can continue to provide medication refills. Please call (919) 529-2066 if you need assistance.

All of us at Mule Town Veterinary Hospital look forward to continuing to serve you and your pets.
Thank you to all the wonderful clients who came out to the “Paw Parade” to honor Dr. Lori Ann Scappino.
